If you have a whole-house air cleaner, they vary, so please check your model for details.
Because the filter media is denser, your system will have to work harder to pull the air through a higher MERV rated filter. Higher MERV filters may not be appropriate for old systems, or ones which are too small for the house. If your system is slower, louder, or less effective than it should be, you may want to consider a lower MERV filter.
Polyester and fiberglass throwaway filters are becoming less common as more and more organizations realize that low-MERV filters are inadequate for protecting people from harmful air contaminants which can cause or exacerbate health conditions. Many organizations now recommend a minimum of MERV 8 for homes, schools, and offices.
We do, however, still carry throwaways for use in special situations where lower resistance or extra airflow is required. Please contact us for more information.

Option 1: If you look at your old filter, the dimensions and/or part number are likely printed on the frame.
Option 2: Measure the inside of the opening of your return where the filter goes. This is the size filter you need.
Yes, we do make custom sizes. Please contact us for pricing. We look forward to working with you!
The size printed on the filter is the size of the return opening it goes in. The filter itself needs to be slightly smaller than the return frame so that it will fit easily.

Sorry, we don't sell individual filters, for several reasons:
1. You have other things to do with your time besides order filters. They don't go bad.
2. Your cost per filter is better for case quantities because it divides the shipping cost between as many filters as possible.
3. Our prices are already low.
4. We guarantee the quality of our products.
Not at this time. Shipping individual filters is an inefficient use of resources.
